These power-armored pirates are all that remains of the disgraced Star Raiders chapter, whose leadership and most of the force was purged for falling to heresy. With no chapter armories or apothecaries to preserve their tainted gene-seed after the purge, the renegade vanguards resort to guerilla attacks on fringe outposts, stealing supplies and assasinating spies, solely for their own survival. Along the way, they developed unique skills to act in place of standard chapter support - as well as resentful, nasty personalities.
